我国首次发现的纤碳铀矿

本文报道的纤碳铀矿产于湖南某花岗岩型铀矿床氧化带中。纤碳铀矿是一种铀酰碳酸盐矿物,在中国是首次发现。本文作了系统的矿物研究并与国外资料作了对比。

THE FIRST DISCOVERY OF RUTHERFORDINE IN CHINA

Rutherfordine, a uranyl carbonate, has been discovered for the first time in China. It occurs in the oxidation zone of a hydrothermal uranium deposit of granite type in Hunan province and is associated with fourmarierite, vandendrisscheite and studtite.The mineral is brownish-yellow in color. Specific gravity D_m=5.6, cleavage parallel to (010) perfect, non-fluorescent, biaxial(+)with Ng//a, Nm//c and Np//b, Refractive indices Ng=1.795, Nm=1.728-1.730 and Np=1.715. Strong birefringence, orthorhombic, Unit cell parameters a=4.824,b=9.163,c=4.288.The strongest lines in the X-ray powder pattern are: 4.5899(100),4.2799(100),2.4160(60),2.2973(100),1.5327(100) and 1.1498 (60).Microchemical analysis gave UO_3 85.6, CO_2 10.26% and other constituents in small amounts. Its chemical formula is almost close to the ideal one, i.e., UO_2CO_3.
