Abstract:For two sets of FD-125 radon thorium analyzer at Dingxiang Seismic Station of Shanxi Province, whose matching calibrators are FH-463A and BHC-336 respectively, this paper carried out a comparison test of scaler threshold setting and synchronous observation of water radon from the aspects of scaler threshold setting, observation data stability, and data consistency. The results show that the standard error of water radon observation by the radon measuring instrument with the FH-463A calibrator is smaller, the accuracy is higher, and the stability is better. The standard deviation and mean standard error of the primary and secondary samples observed by the radon measuring instrument with the BHC-336 calibrator are the smallest when the threshold is 0.7 V. The observation is more stable than other thresholds. The water radon observations have better synchronization and stability when the radon measuring instrument with the BHC-336 calibrator uses a 0.7 V threshold and the radon measuring instrument with the FH-463A calibrator uses a 2.0 V threshold. According to the discipline specification revised in 2014, it is determined that stable observation data can be obtained when the 0.7 V threshold value is selected for the BHC-336 calibrator.
