Main Contents and Changes of the 6th Edition International Standards for Hydrographic Surveys

After the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) released the 6th Edition of the Hydrographic Survey Standards (S-44),this paper,by translating the contents of the 6th Edition of S-44,collecting the relevant meetings materials in the process of formulation,combining with the harvest from attending the meeting of the Hydrographic Standards and Service Committee of IHO,describes the revision process and main contents of S-44 6th Edition,studies and analyzes its technical requirements,and explains the future work of IHO. The purpose is to strengthen the study and application of the new edition of International Hydrographic Survey Standards,so as to better carry out the domestic hydrographic survey work in future,and provide some reference for revising the Specification for Hydrographic Survey of China.
