A palaeomagnetic study of the Nigerian volcanic provinces

Summary Six Younger Granite localities showing normal and reverse magnetizations in equal proportion have given a Jurassic palaeomagnetic pole position =62.5°N, =241.6°E; (Fisher's precision parameter (k)=27.8 and ₉₅=13°). Individual palaeopole-positions have also been obtained for a Cretaceous pyroclastic rock and for two Pleistocene basalt flows.
