Abstract:Definition of strain seems to be simple,but it has great meaning A good definition of strain is usually solid base of deformation mechanics The elastic plastic mechanics is based on the Cauchy strain,but it has clear shortcomings,and more clear in the process of the large deformation limitations of Cauchy,Green strain and the accuracy of Koerbar Swainger strain are analysed simply by using the method of geometrical analysis,some examples are used to prove them
