摘    要:虽山前带第四系很薄,但由于新构造运动掀斜作用及断裂的贯通作用,构造盆地第三系含水层与山前带地下水产生水力联系并获得很高的压力水头.山前带第四系厚度小的原因,是中更新世以后上升幅度增大,早中更新世沉积遭受强烈剥蚀.由于第四系很薄,曾长期被人认为地下水贫乏.但据勘探证实,较大冲积扇有丰富的潜水资源.

Abstract:There are many faults developed in neotectenic.movement in the piedmonts of Altay and Sawir Mt. The action of uplifting and subsidence of the piedmonts are controled by the faults. Because of the tilting and connection by the faults, the un- derground water in the tectonic basins and in the piedmont is related with each other and with very high pressure water head. The Quaternary strata are very thin, the litho-facies is monotonous. The sedimentation with uncomplete cycles and thin-bedded conglomarates doesn't match with the enormous uplifting of Altay Mt.. The reason of this is the increased uplifting in middle Pleistocene, the earlier sediments of Quaternary were eroded stfongly. The quaternary at present is only the survival of erodion. For the thin Quaternary, this region is believed to be short of undergroud water for a long time. But according to the exploration of drilling, the underground water is rich in the large alluvial fans.
