| Abstract: | The Map of Tectonics of Xinjiang and Neighbouring Areas (1:1 500000) covers an area about 3 70×104 km2 ,between 34°N~35°N and 72°E~98°E, including the whole Xinjiang and part of following areas, i.e., Gansu, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Pakistan, Kashmir, India and Mongolia. Guided by modern geoscience theories and based on sufficient results from geological work of nearly half century, especially the recent 15 years, the author has conducted a comprehensive analysis and summary and described completely the tectonic framework and geological evolution of Xinjiang and finally finished the compiling of the map. |
