| Abstract: | The samples with different kinds of kerogens at low-middle maturation stage are taken from Member Shahai 3 and 4 in Dongliang area. The isolated kerogens have been directly analysed using PY-GC. In combination with the characteristics of soluble organic matter,this paper has concentrated on discussing the indexes of kerogen type and its hydrocarbon-generating type as well as the distribution characteristics of the products obtained from PY-GC analysis of kerogen and the possible reaction mechanism. However,the result of the present study has shown that PY-GC will become a useful means to evaluate source rocks in many ways. |
