Abstract:61 phytase-producing strains have been isolated from 6 soil samples and 1 distillers' grain sample. Among them, one has the maximum diameter ratio of its clear zone to its colony on the MSA plate. This strain was identified as Tarlaromyces flavus according to its morphological properties and the analysis of its 18S rRNA gene sequence. Its enzyme activity is 294 U/mL by liquid fermentation after incubation at 32 ℃ for 8 days. There is no report about phytase-producing Tarlaromyces flavus so far, so this discovery enriches the resources of phytase-producing strains and provides a new material for exploiting phytase.
