摘    要:高岭土的工艺矿物学特征直接决定着它的工业用途。本文作者采用化学的方法、X射线衍射、热分析、扫描电镜以及一系列物性测试手段,对蓝田高岭土的物质成分及其工艺性能进行了系统的研究,认为蓝田高岭土虽然白度偏低,但其可塑性、结合性、干燥性和烧结性均较好,可以作为日用陶瓷和建筑卫生陶瓷的主要原料,也可作为电瓷或其它陶瓷配方中的结合粘土。

Abstract:The characteristics of the technological mineralogy of kaolin directly decide its industrial utilization.The author of this paper has carried out the systematic research of the mineral compositions and the technological properties of kaolin in Lantian County, Shaanxi Province, by means of chemical methods, X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, scanning electric microscopes and so on.It is believed that kaolin in Lantian County has certain distinguishing features, such as high contents of Fe2O3, low contents of Al2O3, fairly good plasticity, relatively low degree of whiteness, low sintering temperature and narrow limits of the sintering temperature etc. Kaolin can be used as the main raw materials for household pottery and building porcelain, as well as the binding clay for making porcelain insulators and other kinds of porcelain.
