| Abstract: | Besides evaporability of moisture and drop-velocity of groundwater table, such factors as structure, constitution and thickness of soil also interfere with the value of specific yield of layered soils. We consider that specific yield of layered soils is deter mined, based neither on single layer nor on weighted-average value of specific yield to every single layer. According to the studies of the mechanism of water released from saturated layered soils, a new method is suggested to determine the specific yield of layered soils, based on experiments done in laboratory. |
