Abstract:Caoping intrusive body outcrop on the whole takes the shape of E-W trending irregular ellipse. which was formed by intrusion of magma in the Indosinian period. This paper deals with the characteristics of the rock mass geology, petrology, petrochemistry, trace elements, lead isotope of the Caoping granite in the Qinling. Primary conclusions are as follows: 1. The Caoping intrusive body is alkali-calcic granite; 2. The Caoping intrusive body is of f1-type granite. The genesis of the rock is associated with the orogenesis; 3. The Xuehuagou and Xiejiagou granites are judged as ore-generating intrusion.
