Late-alpine fault systems and geodynamics of the West Caucasus

This work describes the most general results of investigations of fault structures of various ranks in the Russian part of the West Caucasus. The investigations were based on the methods of structural-paragenetic analysis and were aimed at the determination of acting stress fields, as well as at the revealing and mapping of fault systems and zones of concentration of deformations of various geological-kinematic types. Structural parageneses of tectonic fractures and faults, most characteristic of the Russian part of the West Caucasus, are established.
