With the increasing demand on the Location-Based Service(LBS),the society makes use of the new media like Internet to release the map data in an appropriate way.Furthermore,the public(enterprises,institutions or individuals) can invoke the map services to conduct all kinds of form of application.The paper introduces the technical treatment course from the tradition Digital Line Graphic(DLG) data to the Internet,i.e.format conversion,data retrieval,element separation,data updating,data registration,map arrangement,map tiles and releasing.
