Abstract: | Specimens of a free-living copepod, Cyclops bicuspidatus thomasi, were found attached to striped bass and white perch larvae collected in the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal and adjacent waters. Damage to most of the larvae was constriction of tissue around the point of attachment, but some exhibited more severe damage such as missing parts of the finfold or a ruptured yolk sac. Most of the larvae had damage which was extensive enough to have caused death. |
