旅游地质新发现--黄果树石林

在黄果树瀑布北约2km处，新发现一片长1－1．5km，宽0．5－0．8km的石林，命名为黄果树石林。贵黄高等级公路通过该石林南侧，交通方便。黄果树石林可作为黄果树景区风景点之一而共同开发。黄果树石林由早三叠世（距今2．4亿年前）浅海中沉积形成的安顺组白云岩组成。形成石林的岩层为厚层块状，发育东西向节理，也有南北向和其它方向的节理，且这套厚层岩石上下均为薄－中厚层状岩石。喜山运动以来的差异风化和溶蚀作用逐渐形成了黄果树石林。

A New Discovery in Tourist Geological Resource:Huangguoshu Stone Forest

Located about 2 kilometers to the north of Huangguoshu Waterfall, An'shun, Guizhou, a stone forest with 1-1.5 km long and 0.5-0.8 km wide is newly discovered, which is denominated to Huangguoshu Stone Forest. The Guiyang-Huangguoshu highway that passes through its south is convenient to transportation. As a new resource of Huangguoshu scenic spots, Huangguoshu Stone Forest may be open out jointly. It is comprised by the dolomites of the An'shun Formation formed in sedimentation in the shallow marine of the Lower Triassic circa 245Ma ago. The rock formation of developing the stone forest occur as thick blocks and boast the joints striking EW, NS and other directions, and this set of thick-bedded rocks appear equally in thin and middle-thick stratiform from top to bottom. The differential weathering and alteration has gradually given rise to the Huangguoshu Stone Forest since the Himalayan movement.
