| Abstract: | During the 4th quarter of the year 1995, the global seismicity still remained at distinctly highlevel, with a more extensive distribution of regions, the strenghth of seismicity was about similarto that of the second and the third quarters. This indicates that the seismicity of the year 1995was at high level. In the Americas a great earthquake struck Mexico after the Chile earthquake.Scarce shallow strong earthquake sequences occurred in the Ryukyu Islands. A strong earthquakeoccurred near Sinai Pen., Egypt. Successive hopping migration phenomena with east-west direction took place in the Eurasian belt. A great earthquake sequence occurred in the Kuril Islands after the earthquake occurring on October 4, 1994. |
