Hydrological conditions of water mass subduction in the eastern North Atlantic Ocean (Cruise 43 of the R/VAkademik Vernadsky)

This paper reports some results of a large-scale survey conducted in the eastern North Atlantic Ocean on the WOCE project. The weather conditions, the structure of the upper mixed layer, the water circulation and thermohaline structure, as well as the potential vorticity distribution in the test area, are described.Translated by Vladimir A.
