| Abstract: | This is the first text to summarize systematically the results of recent studies on dislocation splitting in main rock-forming minerals such as feldspars, olivine, quartz, pyroxene and so on. The rheological implications of dislocation splitting are explored. A brief introduction to basic theory of dislocation splitting is given to readers at the beginning 6f the text for a background. |
