| Abstract: | In this paper, the water resource features, water-deficient situation and reasons for water shortage in China are analysed, and it is proposed that the limited water resources can maintain the sustainable development of Chinese economy by controlling the increase in urban water demand. The practical measures to control the increase in urban water demand are also discussed in the light of the practical conditions in Qingdao. |
