| Abstract: | Comprehensive valley development is important to regional sustainable development Valley-economy has become an important economic pillar in developed countries and some developing countries This paper uses the successful experience of Tennessee valley development (U S A) as references and puts forward the approach to China's valley economic development: a) establishing a trans-area administrative authority, b) taking water resource as the key, c) an overall planning and comprehensive developing policy; d) combining emphatically development with overall advancement to a form rational time-space structure; e) resolving environmental and ecological problems to realize sustainable development of the valley |
