工程岩体强度的估算方法

摘    要:岩体是由地质过程中形成的岩块和结构面网络组成。由于试件制备、加荷等均极困难,且昂贵而费时,难于像岩块那样进行大量试验来确定岩体之强度。所以,如何通过室内小试件试验来估算大岩体的强度成为工程地质工作者所关注的问题。本文介绍了两种用小试件资料估算大岩体强度的方法及计算实例。

Abstract:Rockmasses consist of intact rock blocks and discontinuities produced in geological processes. The difficulty of determining the strength of rock masses is that rock masses are heavily jointed. Full scale tests on heavily jointed rock masses are extremely difficult because of the experimental problems of preparing and loading the samples and are very expensive because of the scale of the operation consequently, test data for large scale rock mass behaviour will never be available in similar quantities to that for intact rock samples. Since this is one of key questions in rock engineering, some attempt should be made to use whatever information available to provide some form of general guidance on reseasonal trends in rock mass strength. Having considering several possible alternatives, this paper provides two methods of estimating the rock mass strength. One is to use the single plane of weakness theory for estimating the rock mass strength. Another is to use Hoek-Brown empirical strength equation for rock and rock masses and rock mass classifications. Some examples are represented.
