| Abstract: | The Pearl River Mouth Basin is located on the continental shelf, northern part of the South China Sea. The temperature in this area is high,belonging to the tropical and southern subtropical climate. This artical works on the Quternary spores and pollen from 4 drilling cores of the Pearl River Mouth Basin. The succession of Quternary vegetation,and paleoclimates and paleoenvironments are studied. Based on palynological assemblages of 4 cores,Quternary sporopllen assemblages in the Pearl River Mouth Basin can be divided into 11 sporopollen zones. There are 5 transgressions since the Early Pleistocene. |
