Abstract: | A method is described to obtain the association constant of fluoride and hydrogen ions and its influence on the total and free ion concentration. The following equation was found with an error of ± 0.05 for the salinity and temperature range 10–40 and 9–33°C, respectively In βHF = -874/T - 0.111S0.6 + 9.68 where T is the absolute temperature and S the salinity. |
