Abstract: | The energy differences between 1s22p 1s2p3p transitions and the corresponding 1s2 1s3p resonances are expressed by means of a polynomial function of the atomic number. The agreement with experimental data from lithium to potassium is very good. Interpolated values for nitrogen to sodium and argon as well as extrapolation for calcium are reported. |
