Abstract: | The events following the impact of intergalactic suprathermal grains with atmosphere are examined, and some similarity is found between the expected air shower and observations of largest cosmic ray showers. It is concluded that the largest air showers are, in any case, initiated by primaries of intergalactic origin. Whether the primaries are suprathermal dust grains or single nuclei is inconclusive. |
