| 摘 要： | 2002年全球地震活动水平属中等偏低，地震灾情比往年要轻。今年地震共造成1795人死亡，5363人受伤，经济损失约7．1亿美元，与2001年基本相同。上半年地震灾情明显重于下半年。

| Abstract: | The global seismicity in the year 2002 was of medium level or slightly lower, the earthquake disasters were less serious than that of former years. Altogether in the world, 1 795 people died, 5 363 people injured, and about 710 million U.S.dollars economic losses were caused by earthquakes , roughly the same as that of the year 2001. The earthquake disasters in the first half of the year were obviously more serious than that of the second half of the year. |
