| Abstract: | This paper states the petrography, the features of structure and neotectonics in northern sichuan and southern shanxi regions. Four stable regions are divided within the region on the basis of this characteristic and the distributions of earthquake risk zoning. Then according to contents of wall rocks, hydrogeology, engineering geology and physical and economic geography of the stable regions, four preselection regions of disposal reservoir sites are determined, at the same time, some feasible studies have been done on the sites. The paper also proved that granite is the advantageous wall-rock of the disposal reservoir, and the preselection principle of the reservoir is stated in terms of the working experience of several years. |
