| Abstract: | The region along the Yangtze River is the major exploitation belt and a linkage of eastern and western parts of China. It plays an essential role in the national economic development. Since the implementation of the reform and open door policy, regional economy has got rapidly developed. In the process of development, the region also faces difficulties like energy shortage, backward transportation facilities, grain output reduction, and environmental deterioration. Countermeasures are put forward in the paper to cope with the difficulties. |
