BASIC FEATURES OF THE PALEOZOIC STRUCTURE OF CENTRAL KAZAKHSTAN |
| |
Abstract: | Within the Paleozoic massif of central Kazakhstan two zones can be distinguished: the Caledonian to the southwest, the west, and the north; and the Variscan zone to the east and the southeast. These two major zones differ in their middle and upper Paleozoic sections, their magmatic activity, and the nature of their tectonic disruptions. |
