Calculating depth of deposition and volume of gas expelled during eruptions of mud volcanoes in southern Sakhalin

The geological structure of mud volcanoes in southern Sakhalin is stated briefly. Character of eruptions and opinions on the mechanism of the origin of eruptions are described, as well as approximate estimations of depths of occurrence of the gas deposit and the volume of exploding gas. – Authors.
