THE ANATOMY OF THE ARCHAEOCYATHIDS

Evidence for the internal nature of the archaeocyathid skeleton, for attachment of individuals of one species to skeletons of another, for asexual budding as one form of archaeocyathid reproduction, and for the existence of some colonial archaeocyathids is reviewed, with illustrations. Emphasis is placed on evidence for the nature of the soft tissues that composed the archaeocyathid body.-- A.R. Palmer.
