| Abstract: | Summary. From nine Upper Cretaceous—Lower Tertiary (85 ± 5–66 ± 5 Ma) volcanic hills in Central Argentina (33°S, 65°W), 26 hand samples were collected yielding a palaeomagnetic pole at 45°E 70°s ( A 95 = 12.1°; k = 13.6; N = 12) after AC cleaning. Three sites show normal and nine reversed polarity. This pole is close to the pole for the late Cretaceous (69 Ma) Andacolo Series. |
