Abstract:This paper discusses changes in the qualitative and quantitative structures of planktonic foraminifer assemblages (Globotruncanids group) using examples of the Albian-Cenomanian and Cenomanian-Turonian boundaries and their test morphologies. These data allowed subdividing stratigraphic sections in more detail. The revealed connection between biological events, chemostratigraphy, and geochronology substantially increased the correlation potential in stratigraphic constructions.
