| Abstract: | With the development of the information on technology and the society,GIS is beingproliferated with various applications depending on the use. This paper mainly analyzes thegeneral characteristics of GIS application , such as the forming of GIS industry, the buildingof large scale systems, the geographic difference in applications as well as the social back-ground of GIS application. Sparked by the Information Supper Highway and the pursuing ofsustainable development,the applications of GIS in the coming future has a brilliantprospects. |
