淮南寒武系一个新的地层单位——老鹰山组

<正> 淮南地区属于华北地层区鲁西地层分区蚌埠地层小区,在中寒武统徐庄组紫红色云母质页岩与下寒武统馒头组上段紫红色页岩之间,为一套以灰岩为主地层、其时代归属、顶底界线等问题,各家的看法尚未统一。笔者发现华北地台南部地区相当于山东张夏馒头山毛庄组及其上下地层与华北其它地区在岩相和生物组合上,具有一定的差别。因此选择淮南老鹰山寒武系剖面进行工作。

The Laoyingshan Formation——a new Cambrian stratigraphic unit of Huainan, Anhui

The name Laoyingshau Formation was proposed in this paper by the writers.Its type section is situated in the Mt.Laoyingshan, SW Huainan City, Anhui Province.The Laoyingshan Formation li-thological character comprises light grey, yellowish green and grey mediurur to thick-bedded microspa-rite bioclastic limestones, intercalated with thin-bedded oomicrite and some purple shales.It measures about 92 metres in thickness, and is overlain by the purple micaceous shales of the Hsuchuang Formation and is underlain by the purple shales of the Maotou Formation.By comparison to the Lower Cambrian and Middle Cambrian type section in the north of Mt.Mantoushan, at Zhangxia of Changqing County, Shandong Province, the writers consider that the Hsuchuangici Zone, Shamungaspis Zone.Wet-jiaspis Zone and Mantuitshania-Qiaotoiiaspis Zone are quite accordance to the trilobites zone decided in the Laoyingshan Formation.The age of the Laoyingshan Formation is assigued to the Lower and Middle Cambrian by the writers, too.
