Thoughts and suggestions about the guidance of internet public opinion based on Tonghai and Qiaojia MS 5.0 earthquakes

This paper presents the internet public opinion guidance and response for the two M_S 5.0 earthquakes in Tonghai, Yunnan in 2018, and the Qiaojia M_S 5.0 earthquake in Yunnan in 2020. It summarizes and thinks about effective methods for public opinion guidance and response when an earthquake occurs. Operable suggestions for public opinion guidance and response are provided from four aspects, including responding to public concerns after quickly seizing the first position, improving public opinion monitoring methods, strengthening popularization propaganda before and after earthquakes, and strengthening the horizontal and vertical information communication channels.
