She received an M.S. in environmental engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and has led several field demonstrations to evaluate developing technologies. Recently, she has focused on various permanganate delivery methods for in situ treatment of DNAPL compounds. Frank G. Gardner;(Kayenta Consulting Group, 2591 B Rd., Grand Junction, CO 81503) has 20 years of experience in environmental characterization and energy development projects. He has a B.S. in geology from Eastern Michigan University. Present areas of interest are development of site characterization and remediation methods and field deployment of innovative technologies. Robert L. Siegrist;, Ph.D., P.E. (Colorado School of Mines, Environmental Science and Engineering Division, Golden, Colorado) received B.S. (high honors), M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He has more than 20 years of experience in environmental research and development, including positions with academia and national laboratories in the United States and abroad. His research activities encompass characterization and risk assessment, in situ treatment processes for contaminated sites, as well as alternative systems for waste water treatment and disposal/reuse. He is currently a professor in environmental science and engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. |
