摘 要: | One of the most important problems in plasma aslrophusics is to explain how the outer atmosphere of the sun, the sorona, is heated to temperature of millions of degrees Kelvin. A new anomalous dissipation mechanism of magnetic energyy, transit-time dissipation across magnetically modified Langmuir solitons is proposed for the first time. This mechanism predicts that the thinner and hotter a plasma, the more difficient the magnetic energy-dissipation, which naturally explain why the outer atmosphere is hotter and why there exists the chromosphere-transition layer.
