| Abstract: | Japan is the country that has established the world＇s first earthquake early warning system, which played a very important role in the M9.0 earthquake on March llth in Japan. This article introduces the early warning system which helped the Tokyo District Public avoid risk because of receiving alarm information before the S wave arrival of this earthquake in Japan. The article also introduces the Japanese earthquake early warning system technology and an overview of the implementation in the country, it pointed out that the earthquake early warning project is a complex social project. From early warning technology to its serving the public, the approach and the system in Japan are worth reference for us. |
