Microflares and thermal background of the solar corona

We investigate low-intensity microflares in the soft component of the solar X-ray radiation over the period from September through December 1995 within the framework of the Interball—Geotail project. We derived the intensity distribution of microflares and found correlations between the daily mean peak fluxes of X-ray bursts from microflares of various classes and the daily mean values of the thermal background of the solar corona.
