Abstract: | High infestations of the nematode Hedruris spinigera were found in stomachs of perch when they had been feeding on smelt Retropinna retropinna. When perch fed heavily on. smelt, 80% carried Hedruris, but when this food source was not readily available the infection declined rapidly. |
