| Abstract: | Three interrelated concepts about the “gatedness of life” are addressed in this essay: gated communities, gated lives, and
gated minds. All are important components in understanding the places where gated communities are located within a city as
well as those who live in them. Mapping these concepts is a further theme discussed. |
