| Abstract: | In this paper,the authors make a summary account of the status quo of the observation networks for ground water changes in China,point out the problems currently existing in the observation networks,and make some specific suggestions on how to improve and perfect the networks,including:further rationalizing the distribution of networks of wells,optimi- zing the observation wells,making the networks of wells multi-level and stereo,synthesizing the observation items,and modernizing the observation techniques.The authors of this paper believe that the efficacy of short-term and impending earthquake predictions through data of the observation networks can be raised significantly if the above-mentioned improvements are made. |
