Abstract: | The equations characterizing the motion of an artificial satellite in a non-rotating spherically symmetrical atmosphere are integrated in the assumption of a linear variation of the density scale height with height, and using a new variable instead of the true anomaly. The secular perturbations in the semi-major axis and eccentricity are deduced. |
