Abstract: | The results of numerical experiments on computing the hydrophysical fields for the northern and tropical Atlantic Ocean carried out using two numerical models are analysed. A discrete analogue of the first model is developed using conservative schemes, and of the second using conservative-dissipation difference schemes. It is shown that the second model, having a spatial resolution, reconstructs the meridional heat transport and the vertical seawater motions better than the first one.Translated by Mikhail M.
