Abstract: | The potential for improving the efficiency of wastewater biological treatment by using carbonate slime (heat power engineering waste) as a secondary material resource is illustrated by the case of Kazan Synthetic Rubber Works. The details of interaction between carbonate slime and activated-sludge microorganisms with inorganic components of plant wastewater are considered. The authors came to the conclusion that adsorption material should be used and developed a process flow chart for wastewater biosorption treatment. |
