摘    要:本文根据桐庐县瑶琳镇和平村上二叠统雾林山组(相当于龙潭组)剖面第⑨层中发现的一种奇待的种子化石,经标本描述鉴定,确认其为种子化石的新属种,而建立的奇丽桐庐籽(新属、新种)Tonglucarpusspectabilisgen.etsp.nov,归于晚二叠世。

Abstract:This paper described a new seed from the Lower member of Wulinshan Formation (orLongtan Fm. ) in Tonglu county, Zhejiang province. These new materials deseribed here belongto a seed of plantae insertae sedis.The new genus and species Tonglucarpus spectabilis is briefly diagnosed below:Tonglucarpus specabilis (gen. et sp. nov. ) Chen et ZhuDiagnosis: The out seedcase is thicker. It's similar to nowwday water caltrop in shape andhas a palr of similar symmetry thorn-cudgel at near base portion. The apex is obtusely rounded,12mm long and 4mm wide.Some time the oblique forwead down (Plate 1, Fig. 2) or upwards (Plate 1, Fig. 1, 3-4), and a palr of unsymmetrical thicker water caltrop, one of them is 2. 5cm long, 0. 8cm wideat the base, sharpening gradually toward apex. The other is short and strong. The apex is curvedtoward down. 10mm long, 5 - 7mm wide. At the top of the out seedcase, there is a elongate ver-tex angle, 15- 17mm long. At the base portion, there is a long stalk, 15mm long, 1. 5 - 2mmwide, and the centre of stalk has a vascular bundle.The inner seedcase (or nucule) is smaller, round. The apex has a sharp brak, 2 - 3mm long.It possibly belongs to nucellus. Nucule surface is carped by carbon compounds. and the base linkswith the vascular burdle.
