Abstract: | The substances expelled with a nitrogen flow from the water sample are adsorbed on Tenax GC and then transferred from it into the separation column by heating to 200°. Detection is made by means of a flame ionization detector. The technique is suitable for routine application and in the practice of sanitation and water works with water samples of 0.5 l it allows the detection of < 1 μg/l of individual halogenated hydrocarbons. |
