Reversibility of bacterial sulfate redaction and its relevance to isotope fractionation

Abstract:Using H235S, anaerobic oxidation of sulfide to sulfate by D. desulfuricans was demonstrated. This was probably the result of a reversal of the sulfate reduction pathway.
